Our trackers work out of the box, and for most people that is the end of it — rename a few dropdowns and go. But some businesses track things nobody else tracks: a compliance field that has to be on every row, a second location that owns half the kit, a category list thirty items long. Most people should not pay us for this
We would rather lose the job than sell you something you do not need, so here is the honest version. The trackers already let you change a great deal without writing a line of anything: the Lists tab drives every dropdown, columns can be renamed in place, and the FAQ walks through adding your own. If what you want is different words on existing fields, buy the tracker and spend twenty minutes. It costs $149 and you are done.
A custom build is worth paying for when the shape is wrong rather than the labels — when you need fields the workbook does not have, a sheet it does not have, or numbers calculated a way it does not calculate them. That is a different job, and it is the one below.
We reskin a tracker that already works
This is deliberately not a from-scratch build. You get one of the three dashboard trackers — IT assets, tools and equipment, or A/V — rebuilt around your fields, on top of a workbook and dashboard that have already been tested. That is why it takes days rather than months, and why the result does not arrive full of new bugs.

We are not going to show you a portfolio of other people's private spreadsheets, and a new service has no reviews to point at. What we can do is show you the same job, done three times, in public — because the three trackers we sell are three reskins of one another.

Four steps, and you can stop after the second
- You tell us what you need. The form below, or an email. A couple of paragraphs is plenty — what you track, what the current spreadsheet gets wrong, what has to be on every row.
- We say yes, no, or "buy the $149 one". Within a day, and in plain terms. If the stock tracker already does it we will say so and point you at the right page. If it is a real build you get a fixed price and a delivery date before you pay anything.
- We build it and send it over. Half up front, half on delivery. You open the file and check it against your own data, not a demo.
- One round of changes is included. Things that are wrong get fixed. Things you thought of afterwards get quoted, honestly, usually as a small add-on.
Fixed price, agreed before any work starts. We do not bill by the hour, because that makes our slowness your problem.
A custom file leaves the update path, and you should know that before you buy
Every stock tracker gets free updates for life — when we fix something or add something, everyone who bought it gets the new file. A custom build cannot work that way. Once your copy has your fields in it, a future update to the stock workbook is not something we can drop on top of it without undoing your changes.
So a custom file is a thing you own, finished, at the moment we hand it over. It will keep working forever — it is an Excel file on your machine and there is nothing to expire — but it stops receiving our updates. Most buyers consider that a fair trade for a file that fits. Some do not, and for those the honest answer is the stock tracker. Either way you should hear it from us before you pay, not discover it in a year.

How long does it take?
Usually under two weeks from the day the brief is agreed, because we are changing a workbook that already works rather than starting at an empty sheet. You get a date in writing before you pay, and if we are going to miss it you hear it from us first.
Why is it $1,500 when the tracker is $149?
Because the $149 file is written once and sold to everybody, and yours is written for you and sold to nobody else. The comparison that matters is not our own product — it is the hosted tools that do this, which bill every month forever. Two years of one of those costs more than this does once, and at the end of it you own nothing.
What if it turns out I did not need a custom build?
Then we say so at step two and you buy the $149 tracker instead. That happens, it is a perfectly good outcome, and it costs you one email. We would rather do that than take money for work that a dropdown change would have covered.
Do I still get free updates?
No, and that is the real trade-off — see the section above. A custom file is finished when we hand it over. It keeps working indefinitely because it is a spreadsheet on your own machine, but our future updates to the stock tracker cannot be applied to it without undoing what makes it yours.
Who owns the file?
You do, outright, once it is paid for. No licence to renew, nothing that phones home, nothing that stops working if we do. It is an .xlsx file and an HTML dashboard on your own machine, and it works with the internet switched off.
Can you migrate the spreadsheet we already use?
Yes, and it is included. Send it with your enquiry if you like — seeing the real thing is usually worth more than any description of it, and it tells us quickly whether this is a half-day job or a real one.
